HP comes back

When we tell you that Apple is booming – we aren’t joking. Even if Apple has seen more Mac sales in the past year than ever before, HP becomes Number 1 PC Seller again, and pushes down Apple which takes only the second place, according to Canalys datas.

When we spoke about Mac, we immediately considered it as a “5% market share computer”. Then the other misconception we have is to compare Apple against Windows, instead of comparing it to HP, or Dell, or Toshiba, and others PC sellers. Did you forget that MAC can also run on Windows?  Both of this are completely wrong, and only myth! The appeal of iOS continues to bring attention to the Mac as it becomes more and more integrated. People want things that just work together and Apple’s operating systems is one great way to start.

However, HP has become the biggest PC seller again according to figures published by analyst firm Canalys, that also considered tablets as computers. Regarding this factor, Apple hold the title for only the 2011 last quarter.

But figures also show that HP surpassed Apple by a very thin margin – 40,000 units out of a total of 15.8m units. We may so assume that Apple will come back again really soon thanks to the new iPad.

The top 5 PC seller in 2011 is completed by Lenovo, Acer and Dell.

According to Canalys, sales of tablets jumped 200%. Sales of laptops and desktops also increased of 11% and 8%. However, the netbook market is still declining with a 34% falling down sales.
