PRESS RELEASE: Najmtek’s UBOOK : the winner of the European Innovation ICT Award 2012

For the first time Namjtek took part to the ICT Spring 2012, a worldwide two days event, that took place on June 19 and 20 at Luxexpo in the city of Luxembourg. Namjtek attended this unique event to address various hot topics to 3.000 ICT executives and furthermore present the multi-touch, multi-functional and multi-entertaining UBOOK, a new design of the personal computer. This next generation computer has been specially created in the Silicon Valley on the base of French idea.

UBOOK received the European Innovation ICT Award. This award was given by Gilles SCHLESSER, Managing Director of Luxinnovation, National Agency to Promote innovation and research in Luxembourg.


Najmtek developed a new and innovative product, an hybrid computer: the fusion between a laptop and a tablet with a stylus. UBOOK (Universal noteBOOK) is a new concept of laptop including a touch-sensitive keyboard (screenboard). It has all the advantages of the first one (power, compatibility, capacities) and also those of the second one (weight, user-friendly, multi-applications). It is coupled with a multi-task software, an online applications store, and a SDK that will allow each of you to develop your own application. Due to his conception, UBOOK is a “green laptop”, the product for a better life and sustainable engineering.


ICT innovation and inspired technology: Namjtek plays the game!

ICT Spring is a key place to meet and share with international TMT leaders and high potential startups from all over the world. This year the event was focusing on ICT innovation. Panel sessions, discussions and conferences were organized across five villages: E-motion, Gaming Marketing & Communication, Digital media and Devices.

Along with key speakers – such as Mikitani Hiroshi, Chairman and CEO, Rakuten, Randi Zuckerberg, Founder, R To Z, Christophe Lambert, Actor and Entrepreneur, and many more – Sophie Ennadi and Abder Rahim Ennadi participated in the Fair and were honored on the Gala dinner of this 2012 edition of the European ICT Awards.
