Samsung may release an 11-inch tablet with Retina Display!

When others companies are working an smaller tablet, Samsung has taken the opposite route. The Korean firm may release its rumored 11.8-inch tablet this year, according to court documents uncovered by The Verge, during the legal battle opposing Samsung and Apple.

It seems that the tablet screen may rival the resolution of Apple’s iPad. It would feature :

  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • a 2560 x 1600 retina screen with a 16:10 display ratio,
  • a 2-Ghz dual-core processor
  • Android Ice Cream Sandwich
  • a stylus like the Galaxy Note.

We heard from this tablet several months ago for a possible release in spring 2012, but that didn’t happen. The tablet is however still on the company’s product roadmap 2012.

Samsung is now expected to formally announce the launch date for its Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet in about two weeks.
