Monitor2go: the Portable 15.6 Inch Display Designed For Tablets

We’ve all seen keyboards made for tablets, but this is the first time we’ve ever seen a display especially made for tablets. For sure it might be interesting to have the possibility of adding a larger 15.6 inch screen to a tablets, in order to watch more easily films or informations with others.

This unique portable display solution is called Monitor2Go, and is especially designed for tablets. Monitor2Go is a unique dockstation from MMT that allows you to attach your tablet to the underside of the display.

The firm offers you the choice between two screen resolutions: either a 1366 x 768 (standard HD) or 1600 x 900 (HD+) pixel screen, and will feature a built-in slot for the iPad 2 and the new iPad. Both of the version of the Monitor2Go can also be connected to a PC using an HDMI or USB connection, and used as a second display, or to any other mobile devices via HDMI.

The display rests on a base and can rotate and pivot up to 180º, so other people can look at the display while you’re free to poke, jab and hog your tablet’s display. Of course you can also use it as a media player, especially since it has speakers.

Monitor2Go is currently available  at a price of $329 for the HD+ version, and $299 for the standard HD.
