The iMac knockoff running Windows 8 is now a reality: it was launched this week in China, and it is called the Lavi S21i.

The most amazing thing about the Lavi S21i is the main specs are roughly the same as the upcoming iMac, but is costs less than half of Apple’s machine. The 21.5-inch machine has a 1,920 x 1,080 display, 4GB RAM and a choice of a 3.3GHz Sandy Bridge Intel Core i3 or a 2.9GHz Core i5, and and the beloved Microsoft Windows 7 or 8. As regards  the hard drive, you can choose between a 500GB HDD or a 128GB SSD.

It features a very thin — 0.9 cm — aluminum body (at its thinnest point), about 0.4 cm thicker than the recently introduced iMacs. The device includes a front-facing HD camera, Wi-fi connectivity, four USB 2.0 ports, and VGA and LAN ports.

As you can see from the photos here the Lavi iMac clone has adopted the latest iMac design complete with super thin edges.
