Mark Zuckerberg has been awarded “CEO of the Year” by the team at Tech Crunch. This is a big congratulations to the CEO of Facebook.crunchie award

The other nominees were really strong: Phil Libin of Evernote, Dick Costolo of Twitter, Marissa Mayer of Yahoo, and Larry Page of Google. Nearly all of them had one thing in common: they took their company’s dated mobile and web platforms and converted them into beautifully looking systems that have attracted new user bases.

The 2012 CrunchiesBut none surpassed the achievement of Mark Zuckerberg last year! He has brought the company he founded in his college dorm room to a $104 million IPO, the biggest in the history of tech companies, and then led it past one billion active users.

Facebook recently posted its Q4 2012 financial report, showing revenue that beat expectations but low profits. Still, the company has been making some big changes, and the number of users remains strong.
