iPhone is “somewhat behind” the competition…

Even if the well-known iPhone may have revolutionized the mobile phone, and even if it may be one of the best-selling smartphones on the world, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak believes that Apple’s flagship smartphone has fallen behind its competitors, in regards to smartphone features!

iphone5_galaxyWozniak spoke with the German publication Wirtschafts Woche in an interview ranging from the early days of Apple to why its co-founder still waits in line in order to buy new iDevices. He gave his opinion on the smartphone market and actual Apple’s place within that, saying that the company he started with the late Steve Jobs is today facing stiffer competition, particularly from chief rival Samsung.

wozniak steveI am proud that we have such loyal fans. But this loyalty is not given, the need to have the best products is always there. Currently we are in my opinion somewhat behind with features in the smartphone business. Others have caught up. Samsung is a big competitor. But precisely because they are currently making great products.

Steve Wozniak has openly admitted that the company he co-founded needs to improve in some aspects. He previously expressed fear over Apple’s creativity in the industry, as well as stressing that he wished the iPhone could carry out everything Android offers.

And you, do you believe Apple can regain its dominance in the smartphone sector, or are those days over for the company?
