Metallic Miracle Alien Invasion from Asus for the MWC 2013 !

Asus has been rumored to be unveiling low-cost Fonepad, an Android-running Fonepad that sports a single-core Intel Atom processor and an aluminum body. The company has posted today a video showing a UFO docking in a church and teasing a “mobile transformation” for Mobile World Congress.

The clip itself, embedded below, gives little away, but shows a large metal object flying over Barcelona in Spain, before plonking itself down in the middle of a large church. The featured church is the Sagrada Família, a massive Roman Catholic basilica designed by Antoni Gaudí. The video ends with the invite to “join Asus to embrace the metallic miracle” on 25 February at Mobile World Congress.

What does this all mean?
Well hopefully it’s not the end of the world and merely the fact Asus has a lovely, fully metallic tablet or smartphone ready to delight us. It appears, based on the video, that the company will have some sort of device with chrome on it.

Well, wait a little, and we’ll find out exactly what Asus will deliver at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 25.
