Viber Launches PC and Mac versions

Viber is basically a multi-platform application allowing users to chat and make calls between smartphones. Today, Viber has released its desktop version of App for PCs and Mac.

Viber said that it has over 200 million users from various platforms, and this user-base is likely to grow exponentially after the introduction of desktop version and nine new languages that were added to the pool just recently.

viber desktop appWith this VOIP app for desktop, ou can now transfer calls from your phone straight to your laptop if you’re at a desk with one button push, and see your chat conversations flow in too. Viber can also tell you which device you’re actively using, so only one will bleep to alert you to a new notification, iMessage style. And of course, you can also make video calls from desktop to desktop, which is traditionally Skype’s domain. Is Viber Desktop the first real Skype killer?
