18-year-old californian girl invents 20-Second Cell Phone Charger

Eesha Khare, a native california teen has attracted the attention of tech giants Google for her potentially revolutionary invention which charges a phone in 20 seconds flat.

esha_khareThe Harvard-bound teenager last week received in Phoenix one of two Intel Foundation Young Scientist Awards for her work with energy-efficient storage devices: a $50,000 scholarship! Wendy Hawkins, executive director of the Intel Foundation, said in a statement. “This competition encourages millions of students worldwide every year to explore their passion for math and science while developing solutions for global challenges.”

Khare developed a small device that fits inside cell phone batteries, allowing them to charge in 20 to 30 seconds. It also has the potential to work on car batteries.

Google has already contacted her to discuss specifics of cell phone battery changes, the paper said.
